A Note From Sara Alex Regarding Ad Sales:
The holiday season is rapidly approaching and now is the time to sell ads for the Foothill Lacrosse Players Guide before the holiday rush makes it difficult. Please be sure to speak to the companies that you work with, local stores, markets, restaurants that you frequently buy meals, gifts, etc. and ask them if they would like to advertise in the Foothill Lacrosse Program. When you are purchasing from them, they are more likely to buy ad space from you! The LAX Parents Guide is distributed to all of the LAX families (approximately 250 families) in the Booster Club and sold at the Varsity Games. These ads really do bring in business!! I have copies of the program from last year on my front porch and I encourage you to pick up a copy or two to show your potential advertisers. Stop by anytime.
The Ad deadline is January 15th, so selling now is better than trying to sell during the holiday rush. I have attached the Incentive Form detailing how the program works and how it benefits the players by offsetting the player commitment fees and the Ad Rate Form that needs to be turned in with the Ad copy/image/check, and the Advertisers List that are already "Owned" by other players.
Remember if you "own an ad", you still need to follow up with that advertiser to get them to advertise again this year. Please contact them ASAP to secure their business again. Because of the economy, companies may not be as willing to support our program and "purse strings may be tighter" so get out there and Sell, Sell, Sell!
Also, don't forget Family Ads help offset the player commitment fees too. Honor your son or daughter for all of their hard work, by putting a family ad in they LAX Program. If you send us a photo and an idea of what you would like to have in your ad, we can put something together for you. Janet Clenshaw has photos on the website of many games from last year, if you find a photo you like, write down the number and we can get it for you.
