OC Boys' Lacrosse Countdown: No 1 - Foothill

Determined to make a jubilant return to the promised land, the Knights of Foothill High School are ready for battle once again as they embark on their 2018 campaign.

In a 2017 season that saw them go on a magical playoff run after a 10-10 regular season, the Knights won the Orange County title but lost 13-4 to a seasoned team in the Southern Section finals. They finished with a 14-11 overall record but won’t soon forget the drubbing by .

Entering 2018, it’s safe to say Foothill will use that loss as motivation in its quest to recapture the section crown it last won in 2014 — before any current Knights were in high school.

Geis Named 2018 ADRLN All American

Seniors Quentin Buchman (Santa Margarita), Justin Cheng (Beckman), and Ellis Geis(Foothill) were among the first wave of 10 boys’ lacrosse players to be named 2018 ADRLN All Americans.  ADRLN announced in an email that they will be releasing ten new All Americans each month.

OC Crush Tops Santa Barbara Showdown Elite Field

The OC , with it’s entire roster (minus one) hailing from Foothill High School, won a tough battle against a tenacious Team 12 squad to claim the High School Elite championship. looked good on Saturday edging out NinjaLax Elite, Gaucho Select Blue, and San Clemente Sharks Elite to end pool play 3-0. On Sunday, defeated Factory HS Elite 8-6 to secure a spot in the championship. At the end of the first half of the final game, found themselves down by 3 goals but fought back to send it to overtime in the last seconds. Team 12 had the first SOG in OT, but saved it, and in the end, assisted with the championship-winning goal.

Michael Logan Commits to CSU Pueblo

Foothill junior has verbally committed to play NCAA Division 2 lacrosse at Colorado State University-Pueblo. The Thunderwolves compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference against Colorado Mesa, Westminster, Rockhurst and Adams State. They finished 2016 with a 3-11 record.

Senior Defenseman Michael Clenshaw has been accepted to Bucknell University and will play lacrosse for the Bison, ranked recently as #9 in Division 1 Men's Lacrosse, in the Fall of 2008. Michael has been a 3 year starter for the two-time defending CIF-Southern Section Knights Boys Varsity Lacrosse team and has earned All-America Honors. He is a top scholar at Foothill, with a 4.6 Cumulative GPA, and has earned the prestigious International Baccalaureate Program Honor.

 

Bucknell University is a private university located along the Susquehanna River in the rolling countryside of Central Pennsylvania in the town of Lewisburg, 60 miles (97 km) north of Harrisburg. The university consists of the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering.

 

U.S. News & World Report classifies its selectivity as "most selective." It is ranked 30th for liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report as of 2007. Bucknell is ranked 7th for liberal arts colleges in the U.S. by Washington Monthly. The SAT scores for the Class of 2011 that matriculated ranged from 600 to 690 in Critical Reading and from 630 to 710 in Math. 81% of students accepted into Bucknell were in the top 10% of their class and 94% of accepted students were in the top 20% of their class. Knights Excelling In College Lacrosse In 2013

Denver Men's Lacrosse Attacker Eric Adamson (Foothill, '11) scored 2 goals and had 2 assists in #3 Denver's 13-12 OT win over #5 Loyola on April 13.

Arizona State Face-Off Specialist Zack Handy (Foothill '11) won 31 of 40 face-offs (77.5%) in team's first two games of the 2013 season.

Denver Men's Lacrosse Sophomore Attacker Eric Adamson (Foothill '11) scored a career-high five goals and one assist in leading the Pioneers to a 14-12 win over Duke on February 9. The Baltimore Sun named Eric "NCAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week".

Adams State (NCAA Div II) Middie Josh Peterman (Foothill '11) scored 6 goals against Trine University in the Grizzlies 17-5 win on March 6. Josh was named Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (WILA) Player of the Week for March 13.
